Unable to use full 250 GB for my HDD[Softmod issue]

Hello. I am following this tutorial () to softmod my PS2. However, when I use the HDD Raw Copy for the image it puts a 127 GB limit on my HDD and not letting me use the full 250.

I was wondering if anyone would know how I can fix this, or if there is a different file I need to use.

So I got a cheap PS1 and it won't read discs at all. I tried to adjust the pot with a multimeter but nothing. I tried to look into the laser in a dark room and it definitely doesn't seem to light up however it does move up and down like trying to focus and the motor spins twice showing that it has power.

Is it likely the diode in the laser that failed? I heard the regulators can cause the problem but everything else works fine. Controller ports and memory card slots are fine.

PS2 using 2TB internal HDD

Everywhere I look on the web I see conflicting answers about whether a PS2 can handle a 2TB SATA internal HDD. Much info is also outdated. So I registered to either get a definitive No on the issue or make a tutorial on getting this to happen.

I sure haven't gotten this working yet, so anyone with any information about this, please chime in!

Hi guys!

I've just bought an RGB cable to use on my PS1 (unmodded 7502) and occasionally my PS2 (modbo 4.0) when playing PS1 games. Anyways, I got the cable and testing it on my viewpia 1080i lcd tv (old) with both my pal ps2 and ps1 I get a black and white picture for either region of games. I tested the ps2 on an LG 4K tv and I got full colors etc. On my ps2 I've switched to rgb in the component signal options.

Obviously the problem is with the tv, and I was wondering if anyone...

Replacing DS2 Controller Joystick

The DS2 controller that came with my console recently is stiff but it is still accurate.
What should be my next step?
Replace the analog stick? If yes, can we use the DS3 joysticks?

Is my controller an imitation product because the product label is printed on the controller body instead of being a sticker?

Hi my fellow forum visitors, I just found a version of the game thats in russian. Have not found anything on the internet apart from .iso rips of it. Does anyone know anything about it that could help? It does not have a black back like normal ps1 discs do, but does have a picture on the front. The case is a normal cd one, but has a high resolution image of the game, and clearly shows "Russian Version" on it. The game itself is like any other version, works fine, only problem being the sword...

Is there a file explorer anywhere to be found that allows to write to the HDD that goes in the PS2 bay? I need to delete a folder that is probably what's causing my console to bootloop.

So I want to translate Rockman Complete Works, but I need to know what programs I could use to hack the game. I have the game image in a bin/cue format, but I have no prior coding knowledge. I'm willing to learn through experimentation, but I'd like to know of any programs that could help to make this goal a reality.

I know this question is very old but recently got my hands on a PS1 again and I have one of them backup carts with a spring to boot burned PS1 games.

I have two which work (one allows JAP codes, the other UK) and it works fine on some old PS1 burned games but I have just burned off a game to try and it wont boot.

The game was ECM format which I extracted back to bin format and the game won't boot on the PS1.

However my PS2 is soft modded and I have PS1 backup loading set up and the burned...

Hello! I just recently purchased a modded PS1 mini off ebay. I found out after receiving it that it's a PAL console. It came with an RGB SCART cable. I live in Canada and don't have any TV's that have RGB/SCART ports, and i tried using a composite AV cable on my TV, and my games (all NTSC originals/backups) are displaying in black and white. I want to be able to run my originals in color.

What is the easiest fix to have them displaying in full color? I found these two items on ebay and...

Verbatim DVD-R on PS2

I recently bought a 10 pack of Verbatim DVD-Rs to play burned PS2 games. My PS2 is a soft modded slim with Free McBoot. The DVDs I had before Verbatim were TDK DVD+R (one is a Sony DVD+R). Those work, but anything I burn on the Verbatims won't read. I use ImgBurn to burn my games at AWS speed. It's worked perfectly with the TDK and Sony discs, but not the Verbatim discs. I have burned three discs at three different speeds (AWS, 4X, and 16X), but none of them work. I was thinking it was my...

Do they work on PS2 games? Because I am not getting any, I tried it on PS1 and they work fine there so the controller is not faulty. I am suspecting that controller port might have some flaw.
