Pc and xbox doom on ps1

I have tried to boot the beta 2 of this mod on ps2 popstarter. I can load a game but cannot control the character at all. Can somebody help and see how they can get this working? Even on xbox 360, ps1, xbox one, ps3 tjrough emu?
